As one of their Friday regulars, I have indulged in various meals and man, oh man, my tastebuds had a blast! The vetkoek is crisp and fried to perfection, soft and fluffy on the inside. Since I'm such a food fanatic and lover of homemade goods, I had the enjoyment of tasting the curry mince vetkoek and they even serve rib vetkoek! Which of course, I had to taste aswell. Now my "go-to" meal would forever be the chicken strips and chips on a vetkoek, crispy, yummy goodness. All of their meals are paired with sauces of your choice, of course. Tell me, who can resist a warm and ready to be eaten "Ouma se Vetkoek", but in this case aunt Julia's freshly made ones from Die Vetkoekie? Their service is fast and efficient- the staff is so kind and warm-hearted, exactly like their dishes! All their meals are well prepared and all you ever will experience is warmth, cushiony softness and love. Their vetkoek reminds me of my late grandmother's warm and gentle hugs. Die Vetkoekie is most certainly a "home away from home" in every sense of the word. It comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
